The Excellence Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Gala Dinner was held in the Banking Hall at the College Green Hotel in Dublin on September 26th to celebrate the induction of Amy Edmondson and Hayat Sindi into the Excellence Hall of Fame.

The evening began with drinks and jazz followed by dinner and a “fireside chat” with the inductees. John Bourke, President of the Institute, opened the festivities by welcoming guests from the public and private sector from Ireland as well as those who had travelled from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Marie Lindsay, Hall of Fame inductee from 2018, acted as Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

Amy is a world-renowned leadership, teamwork, and organizational learning scholar whose groundbreaking research has revolutionized the way organizations approach learning, teamwork, and innovation. She is the Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at Harvard Business School and is consistently ranked amongst the top business thinkers globally. Amy has authored several books including Right Kind of Wrong which won the Financial Times and Schroders Business Book of the Year award in 2023.

Hayat is a world-leading biotechnologist, humanitarian, and a champion of science and technology. Her journey has been one of breaking boundaries between the East and West, serving society, and seeking to help everyone – irrespective of their religion, color, or culture. In 2024, she was awarded the Leadership in Science and Technology Exceptional Women of Peace Award from the UN Peace Messenger Organization, Pathways to Peace. Hayat is a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Sciences and an Honorary Fellow at Newnham College Cambridge University.

The presentations were followed by a lively “fireside chat” with the inductees hosted by Michael Shea, Fellow of the Institute.

The Excellence Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Gala Dinner was held in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin on November 14th to celebrate the induction of Anastassia Lauterbach and John Power into the Excellence Hall of Fame.

Guests enjoyed an evening of drinks and jazz followed by dinner and a “fireside chat” with the inductees. John Bourke, President of the Institute, opened the festivities by welcoming guests from the public and private sector from Ireland as well as those who had travelled from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Anastassia is one of the world’s leading experts on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence and their implications for corporate governance. She is the Founder and Chief Executive of AI Edutainment, a company that teaches AI and Robotics in an easy-to-understand and entertaining way. Anastassia’s award was presented by Yiannis Lagos, Fellow of the Institute, and she received video messages of congratulations from Christine Elliott (Chair, Health & Care Professionals Council UK), Andrée Bates (Founder and CEO, Eularis), and Pav Gil (corporate lawyer and Wirecard whistleblower).

John is the Founder and CEO of Aerogen, Ireland’s largest indigenous MedTech company and a world leader in aerosolized drug delivery technology. He is a serial entrepreneur who is accredited with over twenty commercialized US and international patents ranging from robotics to life support ventilators. John’s award was presented by John Laffey, Professor of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Galway, Ireland. John received video messages of congratulations from Leo Clancy (CEO, Enterprise Ireland) and Jane Shaw (former Board Chair, Intel).

The presentations were followed by a lively “fireside chat” with the inductees hosted by Divine Ndhlukula, Excellence Hall of Famer (2023).

The Institute’s President John Bourke said “It was another wonderful evening celebrating the induction of Anastassia Lauterbach and John Power into the Excellence Hall of Fame. Both Anastassia and John are exceptional individuals who have been relentless in their pursuit of excellence. Those in attendance found them both to be very down-to-earth and were impressed with the humanity they witnessed.”
